The single-speed machine is for use with steel, brass and diamond-core drills only. The drill can easily be positioned over any area to be drilled. Special soft, concave, rubber feet hold machine firmly to the drilling surface. Easy to use depth adjustment, the drill housing moves up and down on four, double-sealed ball bearings. First introduced to the glass industry over 50 years ago, the original Baldwin BM41 Suction Cup Drill Press was the first drilling machine to use a suction cup to attach itself to the work. Drill holes up to 5″ in diameter. For use with all steel, brass, and diamond-core drills, as well as spear point and prismatic carbide drills. The drill housing moves smoothly up and down on four, double-sealed ball bearings. The 5″ suction cup is powered by an eccentric assembly that gives it more than twice the holding power of a simple-lever, suction cup machine. This provides the stability needed for proper drilling. Lightweight and portable, this drill press, which weighs only 15 lbs., can be used at the shop or on the job site.

The Baldwin portable swivel drill is designed primarily to make cutouts for plug and switch receptacles. The center of a 2″x 4″ cutout is marked in the base for easy alignment. The Swivel feature allows you to drill one hole, then by swiveling the head and plugging the first hold a second hole can be drilled without repositioning the machine. It can also be used for drilling holes up to 5″ in diameter by swiveling the drill to either side or to the rear of the machine. The machine swivels on a 2″ bronze bushing and is locked in place with a threaded brass rod when drilling. The drill housing moves smoothly up and down on four, double sealed ball bearings. There is a built in cooling retaining link made of solid pure gum rubber that will give many years of dependable service. The suction cup is powered by an eccentric assembly that gives more than twice the holding power of simple lever suction cup machines. This provides the stability needed for proper drilling. Weighs only 19 lbs.
